When you sign up, we store your email and the name you choose. Your profile can include a city, pronouns, mood, and interests — all optional. You can edit or remove these anytime from your profile.
Gloam never tracks your precise location or uses GPS. Groups and meetups use the city you enter by hand. Exact meetup addresses are only shown to members who RSVP to that meetup.
Group discussions, polls, and reactions are visible only to that group's members. Memories are shared within the group. A host may choose to publish a highlight to the global feed, where other Gloam members can see it. Your membership in a group is visible to other members of that group.
When you ask to join a group, your answers to the host's questions are shared with that host so they can decide. Hosts approve or decline each request individually.
You can block another member from their profile; blocked members' posts won't appear in your feed. You can report a member to their group host for review. Hosts can remove members to keep their groups safe.
We never sell your personal information to third parties. We don't show ads. Gloam is a private space for your group.
You can delete your account from Profile → Account settings. This removes your profile data and signs you out. Posts and memories you created may remain visible to groups you were part of, as group content.
Questions about your privacy? Reach out to your group host for group-specific concerns, or contact Gloam support for anything else.
